Scholarships

The College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) awards scholarships throughout the academic year to students who are declared majors within COFAC.

Scholarships are available based on both meeting financial need and/or celebrating academic achievement.

Types of Scholarships

• Auto-match — this type of application requires no input from students. It is usually based on major, GPA, minor, student status, student type and student level. All of this information is automatically populated from the student’s account at Towson University.
• Apply-to — this type of application requires extra information that the system does not automatically populate. This would include essays, transcripts, resumes, extra questions.
• Conditional Application — this is usually a department-wide application used for all scholarships associated within that department.

All COFAC scholarships are available through an online scholarship application award system called Blackbaud Award Management (BBAM), also known as Academic Works.

Information like name, academic year and GPA automatically populates into BBAM from each student account with Towson University so that every application has the most up-to-date information included.

BBAM gives information about each scholarship and details how to apply for each one.

Note: BBAM will automatically match you to scholarships for which you qualify based upon your information within the Towson University Student Information System. Depending on the scholarship, you may be asked to supply additional application materials.
