The Office of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility and the Public Communication Center, along with other campus partners, coordinate TEDxTowsonU, a TED organization grassroots initiative.

TEDxTowsonU features an evening of speakers who present “ideas worth spreading” through carefully prepared talks. TEDx Talks cover a wide range of subjects to foster learning, spark conversations and build community. 

The next TEDxTowsonU event will take place on November 5, 2025. 

The upcoming theme for TEDxTowsonU 2025 is Happiness by Design. Happiness isn’t just a fleeting emotion — it’s something we can thoughtfully create. This theme explores how individuals, communities, and systems can intentionally design environments, habits, and mindsets that foster genuine, lasting joy.
