Academic Assessment Council & Subcommittee

The purpose of the Academic Assessment Council and its subcommittee are to provide guidance, structure, and support for the assessment of student learning throughout the institution.

Academic Assessment Council (AAC)

AAC is a standing committee fo hte Academic Senate whose members serve as consultants and advisors on assessment to colleagues, seek the input of respective college councils and other constituent groups on matters of assessment policy and practice, and report to respective college councils and other constituent groups on the work of AAC.

AAC meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month from 2:30-4:00pm via Zoom. 

Subcommittee on Student Learning Assessment (SSLA)

The purpose of this subcommittee is to implement the policies of AAC and the Academic Senate that apply to the assessment of academic programs and core courses, make recommendations to the designated entity responsible for the recertification of courses in the University Core based on assessment reporting, and analyze trends and practices across the University.  

In addition, members of the subcommittee communicate and support faculty across the campus, provide professional development opportunities to faculty, and assist with assessment planning and activities.

SSLA meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month from 12:30-2:00 pm via Zoom.
