The Office of Student Accountability and Restorative Practices (SARP) utilizes multiple pathways to navigate accountability for violations of the Code of Student Accountability and conflict resolution.

Student Accountability and Restorative Practices is responsible for:

  • receiving and reviewing reports of alleged student misconduct
  • interviewing and advising parties involved in accountability proceedings
  • maintaining all student disciplinary records
  • monitoring and proposing revisions in student accountability policies
  • informally resolving cases not referred to University Hearings
  • selecting, supervising, training and advising Hearing Board members
  • facilitating student appeals
  • facilitating the Restorative Accountability Process that affords students the opportunity to engage in dialogue about harms caused and agree to appropriate resolutions
  • serving as a resource to faculty and staff regarding student misconduct
