Seaberg first joined the TU's Center for STEM Excellence in 2024 as an educator and curriculum developer for the SciTech Student Learning Lab. The field trip program provides hands-on inquiry-based science activities for students in grades 3–12 that encourage critical thinking and active engagement.

Now, Seaberg returns in a new role through the Chesapeake Conservation and Climate Corps (CCCC), a year-long program that pairs young adults with organizations working on conservation in Maryland.

As a Corp member, she continues leading SciTech classes and contributes to the Science is Elementary and HiTech Loaner Lab programs, which provide science equipment and instructional materials to schools throughout Maryland.

A proud Baltimorean, Michelle is passionate about creating inclusive, high-quality educational opportunities for the next generation of Maryland students. Her diverse background includes game-based educational pedagogy, environmental science education, public education policy, and sustainable agriculture.

Seaberg is focused on designing innovative, game-based activities that makes science accessible, engaging, and meaningful to all students. She is enthusiastic about continuing her work at TU's Center for STEM Excellence because of its mission to empower teachers and students to further engage with STEM learning.

"I want to create programs that helps students see how science—especially environmental science—connects to their daily lives," Seaberg shares. "Every student should feel that science is for them and feel that it's relevant to their experiences and communities."
