Rudhi Sethi
Economist
Biography
Rudhi joined the Regional Economic Studies Institute (RESI) in 2024. As an economist, she leads the development of economic forecasts, economic commentary, and data analysis. She also provides input in the production of state and county level forecasts of various economic indicators. Additionally, she perform data impact analysis using input/output models and other statistical software tools; assists senior staff in designing the appropriate research methodology for projects; identifies data sources needed to complete an economic impact analysis, organize, and analyze large data sets. She also play a key role in research management, developing comprehensive research plans for new projects and guiding researchers in achieving the stated research objectives.
Previously, Rudhi served as a project manager for Bright Mind Enrichment & Schooling in San Francisco, CA. She coordinated resource planning for multiple projects to align with strategic goals and lead collaborative efforts with tech and project teams to advance products and conduct budget-related analysis. While at Boston University, Rhudi was a research assistant, performing data collection on topics related to economic history and health economics by gathering information from historical sources, and facilitating in-dept analysis through clear presentation of complex data. She also served as a junior research associate for Alea Consulting in Delhi, India, and as a merger and acquisition trainee for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), in Gurugram, India.
Education
Rudhi holds a M.A. in economics from Boston University and a B.Sc. in economics (Hons.) from Symbiosis School of Economics, Symbiosis International (Deemed) University.
Personal
Originally from New Delhi, India, Rudhi hails from a close-knit joint family and has
a deep bond with her dog, Rheo. She moved to Boston in 2022 to pursue her master’s
degree, driven by her passion for learning. Outside of work, she enjoys arts and crafts,
organizing events, and savoring her love for coffee and bubble tea, all while finding
solace in music that calms her mind. Travelling allows her to discover new cultures
and experiences, which she cherishes deeply.
